This is my first Cylinder project, it's slightly lopsided and thick on the bottom, however this project was the beginning of my career in Ceramics and was a stepping stone in learning to throw.
This is another one of my projects. For this is mixed red clay and Vashon white clay to make this bowl. When I threw this the red clay was recycled and very soft compared to the white clay, making odd lumps and hard pulls throughout the creation processes. Its a deep bowl with the two toned clay pattern its pleasing to the eye.
This bowl I threw with red clay. Its very smooth, shallow and small about the size of your hand. However it is very circular and nice to look at with the marks on the inside that give it the vortex look.
This is my planter. Its pretty small compared to my other projects, when i threw this I figured out that using less clay for me was a lot easier and my projects came out a lot more clean. I will be using this planter in my set of three so i have not glazed it yet.
