This is my first cylinder project. I came into Ceramics for the second time this semester and this was my first project that I have produced. Its not the best, however it and the process of making it taught me how to say good bye to works that i have made. When i threw this I was very off center causing the walls to be lop sided and not pull straight, but this is a stepping stone in my art career and i can only get better. I gave this a glaze randomly but i came out a brownish orange that shines really nice, I missed two spots where my fingers where while I was glazing. Its not perfect but it is my first.
This is my bowl project, the second item i was able to successfully throw. I used a very small amount of clay for this project but I tried to pull to high making the walls very very thin. I was also slighty off center when i pulled making it almost a oval shaped. The base is still very thick though, i could work on pulling up the bottom more. The bowl is more of a cup size, it can rest in the palm of your hand. The glaze didn't really stick much making the project clear and gritty with a slight shade of green in places.
This project is one of my favorites, in the last bit of class after repetitive failed attempts to make something nice I made this little thing of beauty, the cup is tiny. My finger hardly even fits through the grip and it gets stuck in. The cup is a deep blue on the outside with a very bright green on the inside, the blue had trouble sticking to the cup so its very thin however the green stayed thick and is vibrant when you look into it. This project was made with the left over clay from me ripping a project in half, but if you look at it the walls are normal, not thin but not thick, its not oval shaped and is on center. I will be using this piece for my tea in the morning as it is incapable of holding much else.
This is one of my more recent pieces, its on the smaller side where I could have pulled more clay from the bottom, you can see the lines on the sides of the bowl from my fingers pulling the wall. On this bowl the walls are at a good place, not to thin or to thick. I glazed the outside a burnt orange and just grabbed the pink and put it on the inside. It came out really pretty multiple colored shiny bowl but the lip could have been covered more, all around though this is one of my better projects.
This is my first tall project. It is a very deep green on the outside and inside but the lip of the project has been dipped in a blue color, the blue ran down the sides and made water marks throughout the green. I could have pulled the walls more it is a little thick however its a good step toward making large projects.
This is my choice project its a large bowl. With very large base, I splattered and whipped glaze of multiple colors all over, sadly the orange turned out a brown color and it mixed with the pink and blue but it still has a odd beauty in it. This bowl is wonderful for cereal.

This project is my cup, I threw this out of Red clay however the handle is Vashon white. The Glaze used is just a mixture of glazes. The far side from the handle has a lot of green but the near side to the handle is mainly blue with some black. The glaze lifted from the handle and is not really present. Its a good looking cup though, round from top to bottom and not really off center.

This blow here is one that I'm skeptical about. I threw this to be a pretty large bowl and the walls completely collapsed so i trimmed it somewhat poorly and now i have this. I dipped it in a clear glaze and in a black glaze. Theres bits of red clay in the project from my vat being covered in it how ever the little spots of red clay add some dimension to it.

This is my wheel altered project. Odd little thing that kind of deadly, I threw a what was going to be cup and the next day while footing it, it flew off the wheel and cracked, so i pulled all the cracked pieces off and now have this sharp green thing. The holes in the bottom are from trying to foot it after it broke and it was already weird so i decided to keep it.

This is my Choice Project. It is a bowl with an odd style of glaze that makes it kind of funky. I figured the black glaze would run more but as you can see i was wrong so now I just have these black dots of glaze, the bottom of the bowl is pretty heavy and i could have trimmed it more, the top is uneven but it gives it some character.

This is another one of my Wheel altered projects, the shape of it is like a lopsided cone and the clay chipped and broke off. I used red clay and Sea mix to make this. Its about the size of your hand, and i used clear glaze on it to make the clay really show.

This is my Lidded Project. Its about the size of an apple the lid dried to fast and i was unable to get a handle on it, I really like it though. The Metallica Brown so it shines pretty bright, the lid covers the entire top but its just kind of small, as is the rest of the project.

This is my tall project, Its about as tall as a dollar bill and is a metallic brown. On the sides you can see my finger marks from pulling the walls, Its skinny at the bottom and wider with a lip at the top. It stands straight at the the top not lop sided at all and is a perfect cylinder.

This is another small bowl that I have made, the first project I have made using Porcelain, I threw this to be a cup how ever the handle did not stay on through the kiln :( But the glaze is actually four different colors even though you can only really see two they are all very dark. There is a Brown Green Blue black and The fourth is unidentifiable next to the others however in the center of the bowl there is a four corner meeting spot that is quite pleasing to the eye.

This is my set of three, its three planters all glazed the same with they Green covering the entire base of the project and then the cups dipped and filled with a Metallic Brown. Two of the projects are just about the same size and then there is one small one, but I like the size difference it shows how much I can pull and what I'm capable of.

This is my franken-pot. I made the top of the pot and mended the three cylinders together. Its pretty being a little over a foot, and its mouth is pretty wide. the glaze used was a green for the top and then pink was dropped on to the rim of the project. When fired the pink ran down the sides making these pretty lines.

These are my plates, both of these plates were thrown in separate days but still turned out very nice. Footing them was weird for me these were my first two plates ever and I couldn't really figure it out. Throwing them on the other hand was easy. I just kind of went for it and I think they turned out nice. They were fired separately which was annoying how ever they were glazed together and look very similar. They're both about the size of a dinner plate maybe a little smaller than one but close enough to eat off of.
